Analysis of Training Needs for Developing Teaching Modules Based on Didactical Situation Analysis

Teachers need to possess four competencies, namely pedagogical, personality, social, and professional competencies. This study focuses on pedagogical competencies, especially related to the quality of learning. Teachers' pedagogical competencies in Indonesia still need to be improved, particularly knowledge about learning strategies and materials. Continuous development of pedagogical competencies such as training is important for teachers. Increasing the participation of elementary school teachers in training requires the role of the Teacher's Work Group (FKKG). The existing training provided by the FKKG team and independent training in the Merdeka Mengajar Platform (PMM) has not included the development of teaching modules using didactical situation analysis. This study used a mixed method with an Exploratory Sequential design. It began with a qualitative phase and was followed by a quantitative phase. The results showed the need for a training to improve four teacher competencies by developing teaching modules based on didactical situation analysis.
