Efforts to Improve Early Reading Skills and Learning Motivation Through Digital Flipbook Media

This study aims to describe (1) the application of Digital Flipbook "Children's Story Collection" to improve students' early reading skills; (2) the application of Digital Flipbook "Children's Story Collection" to improve students' learning motivation and; (3) improving early reading skills and learning motivation of grade 1 students of Karangnongko Klaten 1 Elementary Schoolthrough the application of Digital Flipbook "Children's Story Collection". The research design used is classroom action research, which consists of: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subject study were student class I at Karangnongko Klaten 1 Elementary School with a total of 18 students. The data collection techniques used were tests, observations, interviews, documentation. The methods used to analyze the data from this study were quantitative and qualitative. The results of the study are (1) the use of Digital Flipbook media "Children's Story Collection" can improve early reading skills. Students find it easy to read word by word. The role of the teacher is more as a motivator and facilitator, and the learning process is focused on students; (2) The use of Digital Flipbook media "Children's Story Collection" can improve students' learning motivation during the learning process. Students feel happy, the atmosphere and class are conducive to learning. The conclusion of the study is that the use of Digital Flipbook media can improve early reading skills and increase students' learning motivation. The implication of the research results is that teachers can use Digital Flipbook media as a learning medium.
