Jurnal Civics: Media Kajian Kewarganegaraan is published by Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, and managed by the Civic Education Department of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta in collaboration with Asosiasi Profesi Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan Indonesia (AP3KnI).

JOURNAL HISTORY
Jurnal Civics: Media Kajian Kewarganegaraan, initially published by the  Civic Education Department in 2004, but not publish regularly until 2010. Transitioned to an online platform on the Online Journal System (OJS) in 2016. In 2019, Civics was published by the Association of Pancasila and Civic Education Professionals (AP3KnI).

HISTORY OF THE PUBLISHER
Jurnal Civics: Media Kajian Kewarganegaraan is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the Civic Education Department of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta in collaboration with Asosiasi Profesi Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan Indonesia. Since 1964, UNY (formerly known as the Yogyakarta Institute of Teacher Training and Education (IKIP)) has experienced significant growth as a higher education institution over time. UNY has become a renowned educational institution with a global reputation for its education, research, and community service across various fields of study offered through its faculties and units.

JOURNAL SPONSORSHIP
Jurnal Civics: Media Kajian Kewarganegaraan is fully technically and financially sponsored by the Civic Education Department of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta in collaboration with Asosiasi Profesi Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan Indonesia. This is done to ensure that editorial decisions are based on the appropriateness of the journal's scope, impact, and overall manuscript quality. Jurnal Civics: Media Kajian Kewarganegaraan sponsorship does not influence editorial decision-making.

OTHER REVENUE

TYPES OF ARTICLE
The journal welcomes submissions of papers covering empirical research and meta-analysis. The journal seeks to publish two types of contributions in the form of original articles and meta-analyses.

  • Original articles: Research papers that present detailed and thorough investigations within scientific disciplines.
  • Meta-analyses: Papers that systematically review and statistically combine results from multiple studies to draw broader conclusions and provide insights beyond individual studies.
  • Systematic Literature Review (SLR): Collect relevant evidence on the given topic that fits the pre-specified eligibility criteria and to have an answer for the formulated research questions.
Abstracting and Indexing
This journal is abstracted and indexed by DOAJ, SINTA, GOOGLE SCHOLAR, and GARUDA.
