Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The manuscript is original, has not been published before, and is not under consideration by another journal (or an explanation is given in Comments to the Editor).
  • The manuscript fits the Focus and Scope of Widyakara Journal and is written in English.
  • I am uploading three files prepared from the Widyakara templates: the Title Page, the Anonymised Manuscript, and the Statement of Originality signed by the corresponding author (PDF).
  • The Anonymised Manuscript contains no author names, affiliations, emails, ORCID iDs, acknowledgements, or funding information, and personal data have been removed from the file properties.
  • The manuscript follows the Author Guidelines: title of at most 12 words, abstract of at most 150 words, 3–5 keywords, and the required structure.
  • The manuscript cites at least 20 references in APA 7th edition, with DOIs where available, and every citation appears in the reference list.
  • The similarity index is at most 20% overall and at most 1% from any single source, excluding the reference list.
  • The Title Page includes all declarations (Author Contributions, Funding, Conflict of Interest, Ethics Approval, Data Availability, and Generative AI Statement), and all authors have approved the submission.

Author Guidelines

Please read the full Author Guidelines before submitting. Submit three files prepared from the Widyakara templates: the Title Page, the Anonymised Manuscript, and the Statement of Originality signed by the corresponding author. Manuscripts are written in English and reviewed double-blind by at least two reviewers. There is no submission fee and no article processing charge.

Authors who publish in Widyakara Journal agree to the following terms:

  1. Authors retain copyright and grant the journal the right of first publication, with the work simultaneously licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0). Others may share and adapt the work for non-commercial purposes, with acknowledgement of the authors and of its first publication in this journal, and must share adaptations under the same licence.
  2. Authors may enter into separate, non-exclusive arrangements for distributing the published version, such as posting it in an institutional repository or publishing it in a book, with acknowledgement of its first publication in this journal.
  3. Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online, for example in institutional repositories or on their websites, before and during the submission process.

Privacy Statement

The names, email addresses, affiliations, and ORCID iDs entered on this site are used only to run the journal: managing submissions and peer review, communicating with authors and reviewers, and publishing author information with accepted articles. They are not shared with any other party or used for any other purpose. Reviewer identities are never disclosed to authors. Users may ask the journal at journal_widyakara@uny.ac.id to correct or delete their personal data, except data that form part of the published record.
