Solar-Powered Embedded Monitoring and Control System for Automated Livestock Health Management
Automation is gaining significance in human life. As more daily duties are automated, the integration of automation systems in healthcare, construction, computers, agriculture, and animal husbandry becomes more apparent. A superior automation system can improve the efficiency and accuracy of monitoring cattle health while reducing human error. This automated cow monitoring system is designed to maximize the efficacy of cattle farming. This study employs solar cells to power contemporary livestock enclosures. This research will enhance the quality of cattle for national and regional food security and support the government's plan for renewable energy. The control system activates actuators based on data from the livestock pen. Cows' movement, as measured by sensors ADXL335, can complete 73 steps at a rate of 2.4 steps per minute. Subsequently, cow temperature, as measured by sensor MLX90614, occurs within the range of 36-36.5°C, and both produce accurate and satisfactory results. The incorporated cowshed receives 50.72 Wh of the 304.32 W generated by the solar cell panel system. It can output electrical power that can be utilized to power the cage automation and control system power supply. This study provides stable-based cattle ranchers with a reference for large-scale health monitoring
