This study aims to examine the implementation of the multicultural concept in the Visual Arts Education curriculum. The research method employed is a qualitative case study. The research subjects selected are four Visual Arts Education students from diverse cultural backgrounds who have experience in learning within a multicultural context. Data was collected through in-depth interviews and analysed using thematic analysis techniques. The study's results indicate that integrating multicultural values into visual arts learning encourages students to understand cultural diversity and engage in a reflective and inclusive artistic creation process. Students were also able to incorporate diverse cultures into their artworks, showing increased empathy and cross-cultural appreciation. However, several challenges were identified, including the limited availability of comprehensive learning resources, a lack of contextual understanding of cultural values, and concerns about cultural misrepresentation in artworks. Nevertheless, visual arts have proven to be an effective medium for communicating multicultural values and fostering an open and empathetic identity. These findings underscore the significance of multicultural arts education as a strategy for promoting an integrated and harmonious society.
