PARADIGMA ALTERNATIF DALAM PENGEMBANGAN ILMU

Ketidakpuasan sekelompok ilmuan sosial dengan cara-cara yang digunakan oleh kelompok positivisme dalam mencari fakta-fakta dan sebab-sebab dari gejala sosial memicu munculnya paham fenomenologi. Secara ontology paham fenomenologi menerapkan pendekatan holistik dan melihan obyek dalam konteks natural bukan parsial. Metode keilmuannya (epistemology) menuntut bersatunya subyek peneliti dengan obyek penelitian. Keterlibatan dan penghayatan peneliti di lapangan sangat menentukan keberhasilan penelitian. Fenomenologi menggunakan tata pikir logic lebih dari sekedar kausal linier dan bertujuan membangun ilmu.
