Eksplorasi Manajemen Berbasis Sekolah Partisipatif: Studi Kasus di SDIT Mentari Ilmu Karawang
In the context of increasing demands for school accountability, autonomy, and community engagement in the era of decentralized education, participatory school-based management has become a crucial approach for improving educational quality and ensuring democratic governance at the school level. This study aims to explore the implementation of participatory school-based management at SDIT Mentari Ilmu Karawang and to examine its impact on educational quality and community empowerment. Employing an exploratory qualitative approach with a case study design, the research collected data through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis involving school principals, teachers, school committee members, parents, and community stakeholders. The findings indicate that participatory school-based management enhances community involvement in educational governance and contributes to improved teaching quality, although challenges persist, particularly regarding resistance to change and limited resources. Effective collaboration among key stakeholders, principals, teachers, and school committees, plays a crucial role in supporting inclusive and democratic decision-making processes. This study contributes to the development of educational management theory, especially within private elementary school contexts, and offers recommendations for strengthening community engagement and resource management to advance more inclusive and sustainable educational quality.
