Self-compassion dengan health-related quality of life pada penderita kanker paru

ABSTRAK
Kanker paru dikenal sebagai salah satu penyebab utama kematian dengan prognosis yang buruk dibandingkan kanker lainnya serta memberikan dampak buruk terhadap health-related quality of life pasien. Maka dari itu dibutuhkan suatu sikap yang positif untuk meningkatkan health-related quality of life, salah satu usaha yang bisa ditempuh melaui self-compassion. Menumbuhkan self-compassion bisa menjadi salah satu jalan yang baik untuk memperoleh kehidupan yang lebih positif dan membahagiakan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara self-compassion dengan health-related quality of life pada pasien kanker paru yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif korelasi. Sebanyak 85 penderita kanker paru di Aceh dipilih menggunakan teknik convenience sampling dan berpartisipasi dalam pengisian instrumen European Organization for Research and Treatment Quality of Life Questionnaire C30 (EORTC QLQ-C30) dan Skala Welas Diri (SWD). Hasil analisis data menunjukkan nilai signifikansi (p) = 0.013, (r) = 0.269, yang dapat diartikan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara self-compassion dengan health-related quality of life pada penderita kanker paru, dengan tingkat hubungan yang rendah. Di sisi lain, hasil temuan juga menemukan bahwa pasien kanker paru dalam kajian penelitian ini dominan berada pada tingkat sedang untuk Self-Compassion dan juga Health-Related Quality of Life.
